Good Food in NY vol. 1 of ...many

Mozzarella Sandwich from Black Shack

Because Black Shack's burgers are some of the best on the planet, most people would find it difficult to walk in and order anything else.  However, this sandwich should not  be overlooked.  Be sure to eat it hot.

Speaking of burgers...

Although there is a photo of me in a book and on television calling me a hamburger "Expert", in my case, hamburger expertise does not correlate with frequency of eating them, since I rarely do.  But when I do, I only eat damn good ones, and this one fits into that category.

I love these so much I made a movie about them.

Takoyaki from Otafuku

Crispy salt and peppered squid.  It's so hard to describe how good this is that I won't.

The noodles are amazing, the service not so much.  In fact the photo below was supposed to be pan-fried noodles with vegetables, and I got chicken.  And for some reason I am always getting my noodles after everyone else in my party has finished.  It's kind of become part of the experience.

Pan-fried Noodles from Tasty Hand-Pulled Noodles

It's no secret that these are good.  They have been featured on TV and are in nearly every guide book about NYC.  They are worth the hype, and the line.

Pancakes from Clinton St. Baking Company

I have tried to be dairy-free several times but this has killed that idea more than once.

Oreo Shake from Bill's Bar and Burger

If I had to choose one last thing to eat before I died... I finally know what true love feels like... Better than sex and chocolate at the same time...  I am sure all these things have been said about this.  It is the best piece of pie I've ever had.
